David was presented with the 2008 Passive Solar Pioneer Award by the American Solar Energy Society in San Diego recently. This annual award is “presented to a person who’s creative and original thinking and research has led to new developments in the passive solar energy field”. It is an international award and David is very proud to be a true “pioneer.”

David Wright has a book about passive solar architecture that has been published.
The Passive Solar Primer: Sustainable Architecture is just what it says it is, a compendium of the basic passive solar design principles and rules of thumb developed by David and other solar pioneers since the 1970’s. Published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd. it is available from the publisher, through Amazon.com or Sierra Solar Systems.
